Amazed to find this blog is still here 12 years after my last post. Maybe I should add something... but don't hold your breath. Let me think about it.

About the title
Years ago I played in a band and to keep the mundane stuff interesting we developed a number of routines for soundchecks, one of which was this variation of "Testing, testing. 1,2,3" ...usually as a hint for someone, somewhere to get a kettle on or find some biscuits.
